PADRES Contra El Cáncer is a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families. For over 30 years, PADRES has provided programs and services that have benefited thousands of families from all ethnic and economic backgrounds throughout California, Las Vegas, South Florida and New York City. PADRES provides emotional, educational and financial support to children from ALL ethnic and economic backgrounds, so that no family is ever turned away.
On Saturday, August 20th PADRES National Spokesperson, Eva Longoria Baston will chair the 16th annual ‘El Sueño de Esperanza’ celebration alongside event co-chair, Peter Villegas. This weekend-long celebration of HOPE, is the organization’s largest fund raising event. It promises to be a noteworthy experience as over 350 celebrities and leaders in business, entertainment and philanthropy will come together to support PADRES’ life-saving mission and recognize those who have made a significant impact in our community.
Actor/Comedian and PADRES supporter, George Lopez will serve as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies and PADRES will proudly recognize and honor the legendary Carlos Santana with the Ruby Oliva Cedillo Tribute Award. This prestigious award is presented to individuals who best personify PADRES’ core ideals: honesty, character, integrity, respect, credibility, and commitment to community service and humanity.
